The Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute (SLMath), organizer of the Mathical Book Prize, welcomes our newest supporter of Mathical, the Guru Krupa Foundation!
The Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF) is a private foundation incorporated in New York. The Foundation follows a holistic approach to charitable giving, addressing a range of issues from education to basic sustenance, arts & culture, and the environment. In particular, organizations that focus on delivering complementary or supplemental programs for younger children, designed to enhance the learning experience and outcomes, form a core component of many of the Foundation’s initiatives. For more information on the Foundation’s projects, please visit www.guru-krupa.org.
With the support of GKF, 32 schools in 24 states across the U.S. have been named recipients of the 2023 Mathical Book Prize Collection Development Awards. Presented by SLMath and the Guru Krupa Foundation in partnership with School Library Journal (SLJ), this year’s grant program awarded $700 to each of the selected Title I U.S. school libraries to purchase Mathical Book Prize-winning titles for their schools.
